Club news

Membership Renewal 2020

We have an early renewal offer for you!

If you renew your membership in February then you will receive:

  • 1 night’s accommodation for 2 people at The Welcombe Hotel – subject to availability, terms and conditions apply.

To be eligible for the one night stay you must spend £50 on food and drink during your stay.



New payment management system

2020 sees the introduction of a new membership payment management system and new membership forms MUST be completed by all members both existing and new. The club will be hosting 3 membership evenings for anyone that requires assistance in the completion of the forms.

It is important that ALL members on direct debit attend one of the FEBRUARY dates. This is essential to ensure the continuity of your direct debit payments.

The meeting dates are:
Thursday, 13 February 4pm – 8pm
Friday, 28 February 4pm – 8pm
Saturday, 14 March 12pm – 4pm

There will be a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink for you as a thank you for attending.


Junior Academy
2020 junior captain is now official with Theo Smith taking on the official role and representing the juniors section with great pride.

What a great role model he will be for the younger juniors coming through the ranks to look up to. In his final year of secondary school, Theo is a great example of how hard work pays. We have seen massive growth in his golf whilst also juggling this with his studies, which he is also smashing!

Vice-captain has gone to Jack Kelly who has been a member of The Welcombe Golf Club for many years and is another great junior ambassador of the club and what the junior section represents.

Speed Quiz

Following the great success of the SPEED QUIZ, we held last year, we will be holding another on March 13th at 7.00pm.

If you would like to register a team of between 4-6 persons, please email Carolyn with your Team Name and the number of players.

It really helps the organisation if you pre-enter but teams are welcome to join us on the night. The cost is £5pp and all of the proceeds are for Charity.

There will be an inclusive game with fun prizes and a raffle held in the evening too.

Proceeds to the Captains Charity which this year is THE MYTON HOSPICE.

Both of these balls are available in-store at a lower price point than the Pro V1s, but that doesn't make them any less of an option for your bag.
