Members golf trip

Whilst we drudge our way through the gloomy winter months, WGC members Paul Robson and Keith Lazenby are at least able to reflect back on their October golf tour to a far sunnier and warmer Marrakesh in Morocco! A group of 16 enjoyed the weather, location, culture, food, drink and golf on offer. Courses played were Amelkis, Samanah, Al Maaden, Assoufid, Noria and Montgomerie. If you play Amelkis, use Abdul the caddy as he helped Keith to a first day win!

A mouthwatering prospect...

Looking ahead to what 2018 has to offer in the golfing world brings to light one event in particular: The Ryder Cup. This year it takes place on home soil, in Paris, at the end of September and it’s shaping up to be a titanic battle between some of the world’s best golfers.

This week gives us a little preview as to how Team Europe might shape up as a slightly weakened team take on their Asian counterparts in the EurAsia Cup. There’s plenty of British talent on show with Casey, Dunne, Fisher, Fitzpatrick, Fleetwood and Hatton all making Thomas Bjorn’s team.

As for Team USA, they recently completed a one-sided victory over an International team in the 2017 Presidents Cup. Just by looking down their list of players – DJ, Spieth, Thomas, Fowler and Kopeka – it’s clear to see why this year’s Ryder Cup is such a mouthwatering prospect.

Custom Fitting

Custom fitting is essential
Here in the pro shop, we have both the expertise and tools to be able to offer you a full custom fit.

We often come across a common misconception that custom fitting is only for low handicap players, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

The more you struggle with distance and accuracy, the more there is to gain from playing clubs that are fitted to your swing; from longer carries and tighter dispersions to more consistent strikes. We also find that people really enjoy trying new equipment and learning about their swings, which often results in them being fitted for something completely different to what they’d expected at the beginning.
